Analysis And Optimization On Streaming Media Service In The Mobile Network

With the advancement of wireless communication technology, the fusion of the multimedia technology and mobile network has become the most trend of the development of the mobile industry, mobile streaming media have greatly enriched our daily life, and mobile operator will also provide a new profit growth. Thus studying the mobile streaming media has a very important theoretical significance and application prospect.Mobile streaming media is real-time service, which has the most rigorous requirement on the capability of network, and easily affected by the sudden flow in the network. On the other hand, much resources was consumed by multimedia transaction, the key transaction cannot get reliable transmission by present network. Streaming media service in respect of user perceptions often appears problems such as low success rate, large extract delay and anomaly exit. Therefore, it is necessary to research the optimization strategy in the network.The paper first study the evaluation scheme of mobile streaming media service, and then analyses the definitions and relationships of QoE, KQI and KPI, to establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation methods for streaming media service quality. Then, this paper develops one optimization scheme in network element and signaling. In the element, give some recommends in parameter settings in RNC, SGSN, GGSN and Server. AS for signaling, analyze the reason for process in streaming media service such as attachment, RAB assignment and PDP activation, and put forward some optimization recommendation, thus improve the overall quality of the mobile network. At last, the paper analyses the failure case of streaming media service in the actual network, evaluates the service quality by the evaluation scheme, and then find the key problems based on the optimization scheme, and give the method to solve the problems. Then solve the problems in the actual network, and improve the user experience.
