In recent years, the office automation (OA) is gradually regarded as a leading method for many domestic and foreign companies and service industries to improve their working efficiency. With the development of information technologies, especially the computer and communication technologies, the workflow technology acts as a key technique to raise the efficiency and productivity, as it provides an underlying platform to office automation and separates the logic of process form that of business. And more, workflow technology can support analysis and standardized definition of business processes, so the difficulty of developing application of complex process is reduced. By using workflow technology, management system is more efficient, so that people would be released from large quantities task to more important job.First of all, the history of office automation and workflow technique is analyzed in this paper.Secondly, through investigating and researching on the business of a trade company, summed up the business requirement and analyzed the workflow process model,so that the following developing work would be undertaken well.Thirdly, according to the company's business demand, the process model is created. And analyses the methods to verify the process model's rationality which is based on overlay tree algorithm and reduction.then the two methods are used to verity the process model of the company.Finally, functional Modeling is performed on the base of business analysis. On the basis of ForwfFrame platform, the logistics module,the attract investment module and the complaints module are detailed designed,including the frame design, the business process design, the database design, and so on, then the implementation is given. This way, workflow technique is applied successfully into the office system, and every work process is applied reasonably.
