With the continuous development of computer software, the demand of simulated reality with computer is increasing. Computer Simulation technology has been continuously optimized and innovation. Computer generated forces (CGF) is a research in simulation field, it can not only satisfy tactical requirements such as the training of personnel, the testing of new technologies and new applications, but also lead basic research, for example simulation technology, artificial intelligence, control technology.HLA/RTI (High Level Architecture/Run Time Infrastructure) is an open architecture to support object-oriented architecture. It uses object-oriented methodology to analyze the system and establish object model with different levels and the size, thus contributing to the reuse of simulation system and simulation components. HLA interface specification defines a standard service in a federal exercise, which supports the interaction, coordination and collaboration between the Federal members by RTI. It is by providing a common, relatively independent support services program to separate the application layer and the underlying environmental functions. It separates simulation capabilities'realization, simulation management and the underlying transport, and hides their respective implementation details, makes them relatively independent development, maximum use of the latest technology in their respective fields to achieve the standard features and services.Virtual force Software which the author has designed and implemented is a software based on the development of HLA/RTI software's. Its main function is to establish a virtual battlefield environment in a distributed network by simulating the various forces and the battlefield environment, then it simulates war process to obtain results. First of all, this thesis introduced the basic content about HLA/RTI, meanwhile, the author proposed design of the software virtual force combined with related technologies; then, the author designed and implemented the virtual force software's specific functions and external interfaces using software engineering, thus the author got interactive communication and good information between combat simulation system director platform software and the environment simulator. Finally, the author carried out the software in the LAN-line test.
