Through comparison, it is known that software analog technology can strongly cut the design cost and shorten the design cycle. Therefore, Architecture software simulation has become a necessary element for modern processor and computer system. This thesis mainly studies the realization of the Co-simulation platform of software and hardware of ARCA3. Firstly, this thesis uses the ARCA3 platform of our university which has Independent intellectual property rights as its starting point, then puts forward the integral architecture of full-system hardware/software co-simulation platform of ARCA 3, and further analyzes the characteristics and fundamental elements of the platform. Next, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of all Architecture software simulators through comparison, and then advances that the full-system hardware/software co-simulation platform of ARCA 3 can be achieved under the M5 simulator. Moreover, it also design the SE model of ARCA3 CPU by applying relative knowledge of ARCA3 instruction set。Following that, it design and then realize the integrated development environment which uses the ARCA compiler as its core. This development environment consists of code editor, automatic compiler.of source code. Under this environment, it is possible of creating a binary file which can be run on the ARCA3 platform thus test the accuracy of the new IP core used on the ARCA3 platform and the SE model of CPU. Finally, this thesis compile a C/C++ file, which used to test the functional validity of SE model of ARCA CPU, under the ARCA integrated development environment.
