The combat of modern navy is usually many-arms and hi-tech contests based on warship include submarine and plane and so on, which uses high-octane and accurate navigated weapon. Naval combat system is a united system based on Information Technology. Elements related to combat system are so many that the combat system becomes very complex, the expense of the system becomes bigger and bigger, the cycle of research becomes longer and longer. At the same time, for the sake of the familiarity with modern hi-tech navy battle, it is necessary to enhance navy commanders'tactics practice. But if the commanders are trained by actual combat, the cost will be so large that training is crackpot. So for expediting the research of navy combat system and educating the commander, it is very significant to develop combat simulation system. As an attempt to research on the navy combat simulation system, the paper introduces a navy combat simulation system that includes single blue warship, from bringing forward, total design, detail design to achievement. The project successfully puts on a combat system simulation platform of warship; the condition and result of simulation system basically achieve the expected objective. The system has some characters as follow: It achieves the distributed interaction between all warring entities and harmoniously run by HLA; It adopts planar display of battlefield, and can show the whole battlefield or unilateral battlefield; It has been designed and achieved by Object Oriented language so elaborately that it has good reliability and expansibility. Because the project is the primary research on combat system simulation of warship, there is some faultiness in the system, but the faultiness can be reinforced in the future through interface beforehand. The system is based on C++, which is the Object-Oriented language. It uses active control MapX of MapInfo Company to implement the display of battlefield, uses the KD_RTI software of National University of Defense Technology to implement the distributed interaction. The developing tool is the Visual C++ 6.0 of Microsoft Company.
