Design And Implementation Of Lephone System Based On Customized Android

With more and more mobile internet applications becoming mature and commercial, fixed telephone, mobile phone, data reporting services, digital TV will combine and evolve into one product. So far there isn't a practical product which meets all these requirements in Chinese mobile internet market, so Lenovo Research Institute develops the Lephone which is based on Android, an open source systemThe work of this thesis is a part of the practical development project named Lephone System. The main target of the system is to create an intelligent product which meets domestic demand for operators and users. The platform provides telephone communications, video messaging, text messaging, multimedia messaging, file management, contacts, network settings, chat tools, calculator, calendar, to-do, notes, profile settings, recorder, browser, alarm clock service, password management, security management, connection management and other functions, which allows users to fully experience the network-based services of China Unicom.Through comparative analysis of features and shortcomings of domestic and foreign mobile internet operating system, based on the demands of operators and domestic users, Lephone adopts the Android-based technology. The writer completes the design and implementation of some customized application through software engineering methods, including Wireless Settings module, Profiles settings module, RSS Reader module, and so on, thus provides the integrated basic business functions support for the Lephone.The functions which are implemented in this thesis has been applied in practice, and they basically meet the needs of most mobile phone users and the operators, but with the popularity of the product and the upgrading of the business, the major work of the next stage is how to increase the ease of use and robustness of function modules which the author participates.
