Exam is a common method of school's evaluation about students'learning proficiency and teaching quality.Before the computer technology was introduced into exam,the tradational exam always wasted lots of manpower and material resources.To finish the exam,we must go through four processes,that is compossing the exam paper,exam,marking and commenting.Afer the technology,the process of exam become simple.The teachers can be liberated from the heavy task,and pay more attention to students lenrning.Rank examination is an organized one which is under the guidance of the country and is implemented by each province.It is an important part of high school's overall quality evaluation and it's aim is to check the learning effect of students.Meanwhile,it can govern and monitor high school's teaching quality,standardrize teaching behabiour,make sure the quality of scores manegement and give guidance to both teachers'and students'learning. Technical subjects are important parts of rank examination and cover information technology and general technology.The two subjects'testing method are different from others, for other subjects'exam form is written exam,while information technology subjects are both written and operating on computer.The information technology rank examination is divided into two aspects:written and operation on computer. In the written exam,the content consists of"Information systems Technology"in complulsory modules,"Networking Technology","Multimedia Apply", "Algorithmsnd Programing","Data Management Technology"(choose one from four) in elective modules.The test covers the operation questions about Word, Excel, FrontPage, PhotoShop, Flash,Access and VB.The exam paper includes compulsory part and elective part,and in the electibe part it has an operation about choosing one from four. Compulsory part ,it contains three operation questions about Word and Excel,and it has two operation questions in elective part,each is ten scores ,the total score is 50.The purpose of the exam system research is to develop a information technology rank examination operation systems.The system includes teachers' end and students' end.The teachers' end finish the task of exam management,results statistics and paper's assessment. The students'end complete the exam system logging and taking exam, but also students can look up the exam results. With the cooperation of the teacher and students, they finish the whole exam process. During the process, the management of the teachers'end include four aspects, namely, candidate information, item bank, management results queries and paper analysis. Students'end complete the operation of taking exam, logging on system and handing in exam papers. Through the information transfer between teachers'machines and students'machines, the students'score and test results can be transmitted to the teachers'machines and do the next assessment.The information technology rank examination system eventually produce two executable files, which were installed in the teachers and students'machines. The obtained results is a complete examination system, mainly including students'logging module, teachers'logging module, exam form, teachers'end form, item bank management module, scores inqury module and paper analysis modules. The item bank management, scores inqury module and paper analysis module are the three important components of the system.The rank examination system of Heilongjiang Province was reformed since 2007,the system took the information technology for example and replaced textbooks. The whole system has been reformed and introduced the concept of compulsory and elective, occompanied by a correspinding exam systems'change.Under the requirement of new curriculum standard,the exam system is necessary to innovate.The innovation features of the new system are that multiple functions will be concentrated in an exam system and teaching focus was shifted form exam to exam evaluation,that is to say,teachers will be liberated from the heavy work.With the new exam system,the exam process can be simplified and focus on the difficult knowledge points rather than waste time on the exam process.Secondly,to the item bank management,the system can be compose exam papers automatic according to difficulty and patterns.It also can increase students'practising opportunities and make students access to paper.Thirdly,the design of paper analysis module make the analysis work more accurate and scientific, and then compare the individual test results with the standard answers,form analytical reports finally.The exam system holds a very important position in the evaluation of information technology subjects.The development of the exam system can give students practising platform,increase practising opportunites,and provide convenience for exam.Besides,with the system,the teacher's teaching method changed.Teachers used to adopt"teaching software",firstly explain the basic operation method of the software and then explain these exerises,one by one.In this way, the teachers do lots of unnecessary work and waste students'time.But after the usage of new system,teachers can have targets and teach students by concluding useful knowledge points,students can practise according to the system.At last the system can give teachers test scores and paper analysis reports.Through the paper analysis,teachers can conclude some error-prone points and then explain.It can save time and achieve better teaching results.The information technology rank examination system has a great value and significance. All along,teachers face a difficult question of how to give students a better practising enviroment.The new system can complete the whole process and operate simply, make teachers teach in a scienticfic management enviroment. In addition, the tool of the system preparaion is Visual Basic 6.0 and Access which is usually used in senior high school.So teachers can communicate with each other to improve the system's function. This system can be used in any school with the same textbooks,so that people can benefit form it.
