Since International Telecom Union (ITU) issued 3G Standard, the competition for standard is extremely fierce. The spring up and fast spreading of Internet technology not only changes the competition status of 3G, but also indicates the moving direction of new mobile communication. Thanks for the change of competition status, our mobile communication technology and mobile communication industry obtains an opportunity to participate in the competition and development. On the way of explore and develop China's mobile communication technology, LAS-CDMA (Large Area Synchronized CDMA) is one of Chinese self-owned intellectual property.This thesis will start from reviewing the three modes of 3G communication system. Then analyze LAS code, the key technology of LAS-CDMA and describe the characteristic of LAS-CDMA. Thereon compare LAS-CDMA technology with traditional CDMA technology and summarize its characteristic, which is larger system capacity, smaller transmitting power, smaller interference between the users, wider range of synchronization and etc.After that, the thesis will, from the view of reducing the transmitting power of mobile phone, how to realize the"whole IP"system and how to establish the initialization synchronization of air interface, analyze the disadvantage of traditional CDMA technology in realizing these technologies, and then demonstrate the solutions based on LAS-CDMA technology. This thesis will have a detail analyse and illustrate it's feasibility by the way of test and emulator. At last, the thesis lists several possible application way of LAS-CDMA technology and thus, get the conclusion that LAS-CDMA technology has a very wide application area and its commercial value is unmeasurable.
