Design And Implementation Of Attendance Checking And Entrance Guard System Based On Campus Card System

With the rapid development and popularization of modern communication technology and computer network, many application systems based on computer network have become more and more prevalent on university campus. In order to improve teachers' and students' campus living condition including studying, working and leisure, enhance the school administration level, more and more universities have implemented the campus card system. In one university, all application systems are based on the identical authentication platform. In this thesis, we implement the attendance and entrance guard system based on campus card system.The designed system makes use of the teachers' and students' campus cards as well as the campus card system's third party application program interface. This system is a practical management system which is used in various channels, for example, campus activities, conferences, monitoring exams and so on. This system may result in the enhancement of the university's management level, both the teachers'and the students' punctuality, and the security of the various on campus activities.In this thesis, we firstly introduce the system's present situation and the development tendency. According to the school actual situation and the application demand, we summarize the application areas of this system. This system is mainly used in campus conferences, the activities, exams and so on. Then we analyze the situation of Shandong Jiaotong University's campus card system and research the campus card system's third party interface document. According to the system's practical application demand in campus, we determine system's feasibility, and build system functions and operation flow models. Finally we introduce the system's design and implementation as well as the system's application forecast. We elaborate the system's design concept, the method, the technical difficulties and the solution in detail. The design aims to provide friendly interface, flexible and simple operation, together with security. The main functions of the system are control information synchronization, account information downloading, establishing conference, reading card and checking attendance, manual registration, registration inquiry, statistic and printing and so on.In addition, the attendance checking and the entrance guard system is a subsystem of the campus card system. It enriches the campus card system's application area. This thesis gives effective methods and experiences to other authentication required systems that using campus card to connect to with the campus card system.
