Design And Implementation Of Integrated Management Platform In The Open Education College Of Radio And TV University

With a large population density and lack of educational resources, the foundation of the culture and education in our country is relatively weak and the distribution of education resources is not balanced due to the uneven development of different regions. The traditional classroom teaching cannot fulfill the need of "life-long learning". However, as an efficient method compensating the traditional classroom teaching, distance education has developed quickly and eventually won the recognition of the public in recent years. As a developing country, we need distance education which is now an indispensable way to help construct lifelong education system and the learning society.This essay has a profound research about the current distance education system. Based on the situation of our school, this essay analyses the whole process of distance education and eventually a management platform of integrative information for the students of distance education in our school is designed and implemented.After a thorough analysis of the education phenomena, the importance of distance education is introduced, the development background of this distance research platform is explained and the core problems are put forward. In Chapter Two, considering the actual condition of the system, necessary demand analysis is undertaken. With the object-oriented theory and the UML as the analysis and design tool, concrete use-case description is conducted. On the basis of demand analysis, Chapter Three further develops the pragmatic framework, including functional framework and technical framework. On account of detailed analysis of above theory, Chapter Four has a detailed design and analyses the function of every functional module of the platform. A function chart is attached so that the whole structure and process of the platform is revealed intuitively. At the end of this chapter, critical parts of every functional module are presented vividly. The platform is used to meet the demand of the staff in distance education department of our school. With asp.net exploiting the environment and sqlserver2000 managing the database, the design of functional module is achieved. The platform maily consists of the students'information management, teaching management, information management of the teaching post, users'information statistics, teaching evaluation and office communication. In addition, the key technology is clearly analyzed in this chapter. At last, the completion of the system and the related test-report are summarized.Now this platform has been put into practice in the school, and it is constantly being adjusted and updated during application.
