E-learning Platform Of FuQing Branch Of FuJiang Normal University

The E-learning platform is based on teaching management system, and supported by on-line learning to create a favorable supporting system for study. Its comprehensive use of computer technology, multimedia technology, network and communications technologies realizes data sharing, interoperability, maintenance and reusability so as to integrate educational resources to found the basis for education modernization.The E-learning Platform of Fuqing Branch of Fujian Normal University is to integrate existing separated resources to achieve a standardized electronic management and a rich and fluent interaction. The platform includes Teaching Management System , Online Distance Education Learning System and some other subsystems.(1) Teaching Management System adopts SSH (Struts + Spring + Hibernate) layered architecture. It is an open-source solution based on J2EE standard, with easy-to-implement, loosely-coupled, highly-scalable, and other characteristics.(2) Online Distance Education Learning System platform is the business supporting systems. It uses centralized video conferencing system framework based on OPENH323 protocol stack.(3) Using a service-oriented architecture SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) platform to achieve integration.This paper is based on the software engineering idea. It contains needs analysis, and describes in detail the implementation process of the above-mentioned two subsystems from various perspectives including framework and database design, developmental environment configuration, testing, and other aspects of programming,and finally it points out further the integration of the two systems by applying SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture).
