Secondary vocational school is committed to developing career skills of students, and offering the society with skilled labors. Taking employment as the orientation for running schools, which is also the guiding principle for vocational education, the schools lay emphasis in developing expertise in students. How to offer the students with most favorable opportunities for study and career development, which led to the development of outstanding life-long learners and future workers, turns out to be an important question to be explored by secondary vocational educators. Employment-oriented models and methods of instruction have been explored and tested by vocational schools, in an attempt to help students obtain employment in a better way, while top priority goes to promoting the quality of education, given the weak basis of learning and under-developed study habit featuring students. Working as a computer teacher personally, guided by the theories of vocational education and educational technology and to relate to the features of students of the school, teaching practice, and the orientation of employment, the writer has explored instructional models and examination methods in support of the sounding development of secondary vocational computer education by taking innovative measures in classroom instruction and studying relevant examination methods. Prospectives and suggestions for developing an employment-oriented vocational education are also discussed in the thesis.
