Vending Machine Telemetry System Based On EVA-DTS

Vending machine industry has come into china Since 1993.The management of machines becomes a problem for the managers.The cost of manual works for machines is expensive, and it can not solve malfunctions in time. Along with the development of communication tecnnologies,such as wireless network,the possibility of vending machine telemetry has come into true. Technologists have developed different management platforms by wire, GSM or GPRS. Their contributions are great. But now the data transfer protocols in vending machine telemetry systems in our country are not unified. There is no compatibility in these management platforms which are developed by the vending machine factories. To be aimed at this problem, a vending machine telemetry system based on EVA-DTS is researched and designed.First, the thesis analyses the actuality of management platform of vending machines through technologies, requirements, common system structures, devices of data-gathering, the communication protocols and brings forward a C/S structure design gathering data by GPRS network, SMS and wire.Second, the thesis expatiates the technologies of data-gathering such as GPRS in particular. The terminals use GPRS DTU to gather data.The principles, installation and settings are introduced and carried out.Third, the European Vending Association Data Transfer Standard is described by Open Systems Interconnection model, including physical level details, session establishment in session level details, data transfer formats in application level details.Finally, the thesis compartmentalizes management system according as the analysis of requirements and the whole design of system, also carries out tables in database and explains the key technologies in implement of the system。The network construction between vending machines and data center is completed by the use of GPRS, the data format of information is builded by the use of EVA-DTS, and finally the telemetry system which is real time and safe is worked out. The system ensures the steady communications between vending manchines and data center.It is easy to help managers rule the machines and has strong compatibility.It can handle any vending machine which obeys the EVA-DTS.
