Research On The Development Of Local Libraries Of The Consortium Of Libraries In Jilin Province

Since the Consortium of Libraries in Jilin was found,it receives a wide publicity from the society and leadership's attention and support makes it have a healthy development。The development of local libraries which are part of the Library Consortium attracts much greater attention. In modern society in which people always pay more attention to developing the socialist culture and ethics, the development of local libraries in a healthy way has a significant meaning for both the people and the country. It's one of the heavy responsibilities for the scholars of library science to understand the current status of the local libraries, find out the deficiencies and problems and the direction of future development.Based on the investigation of the interior building and readers's service status of local libraries, the author explores the problems of library construction, library collection, staff structure, financial revenue and service environment in local libraries, and finally presents some related strategies such as strengthening the propaganda, enhancing the awareness,fighting for more funding,developing more qualified personnel,substantiating more resources,improving the strength,promoting intensive cooperation and building a harmonious etc.In the construction process of the Consortium of Libraries in Jilin, local libraries become a Backbone Force of library and cultural undertakings in JiLin province by virtue of its characteristics and advantages.Library Consortium and National Project for the Sharing of Cultural Information and Resources have the similar construction goals and social benefit, so they can work together, and this is the only way that leads to Jilin Province cultural undertakings developing harmoniously .Fanally,the author presents a implementation plan of their co-construction under the cross-cultural sharing environment, and emphasizes on Resource & Technology construction so as to make a sustainable development of local libraries in Jilin Province .
