With the improvement of people's living standards and the growing consumption of food, the competition among many hotels and restaurants increased fiercly, enhancing their service standards to impress the guests play a key role. A convenient and efficient ordering system not only can let customers feel convenient but also optimize the human resources, then the hotels and restaurants can improve the image of customers. This paper used the embedded system in the ordering system, not only the ordering system has good operability and real-time, and meet the increasing pace of development of information technology in food industry.First the article introduced hardware design and the role of the main hardware. Introduced each unit module and interface circuit design of the core processor S3C2410A which baced on ARM920T, the hardware platform to ensure the stability and coordination of ordering the system to run. Second, selected a small real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱ, and specifically describes theμC/OS-II's porting in the S3C2410A hardware platform, also introduced synchronization and communication mechanism of theμC/OS-II. Based onμC/OS-Ⅱsystem, selected the graphical user interface with embedded softwareμC/GUI to edit interface,then analyzedμC/GUI's principles and characteristics.a detailed Descripted the process and configration of theμC/GUI'porting in the operating system, on theμC/GUI some of the key technologies and related functions were studied, and appliedμC/GUI to interface on the display, including the buttons, menus, food products picture on LCD screen. Finally, used the keyboard which was brought about by software programming. The system is pointed into three tasks, there are some interfaces,includes welcome screen, ordering interface, the interface has been ordering products, described in detail every task realization process, interface display and the method of switching among tasks, the ordering system so as to achieve reasonable control.The design is based on embedded real time operating systemμC/OS-II of the development and use of popularμC/GUI Embedded graphics editing software, a graphical interface, in ordering the system a reference field guide, especially has a strong practical value for high-standards hotels and restaurants'private rooms.
