With the improvement of people's income and the influence of informationization and network,the consumption consciousness of consumer has changed subtly.In order to keep up with the change of consumption concept,the informatization of the catering industry is an inevitable trend.On the one hand,it can reduce the workload of waiters and improve their work efficiency,and on the other hand,it also provides a kind of adjustment for catering enterprises through data analysis to enhance their competitiveness.For the reasons,this paper designs a wireless ordering system based on ARM9 chip.The design of the ordering system uses the C/S architecture,namely the server + client mode.The system consists of a PC server,a handheld ordering device and a back-end display device.The PC server is used to provide computing and access services for clients;the handheld ordering device is used to provide visual display and operation interface for consumers,which can be used for ordering,reminder,checking,etc.The back-end display device is used to display customers' menu lists to the chef and enable them to respond to the production status of the dishes,which can prompt the waiter to serve the dishes.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of embedded handheld ordering equipment.The embedded handheld ordering equipment consists of the embedded hardware platform,operating system and application software.The hardware platform consists of the Samsung ARM9 embedded microprocessor S3C2440 as the core,the power module circuit,a crystal vibration module circuit,the reset circuit,32 MB SDRAM circuit,64 MB Nand Flash module circuit,a wireless communication module,the display touch interface circuit,etc.Comprehensive considering the cost,function,safety,reliability,etc.,this system adopts the embedded Linux operating system.This paper elaborates the construction of embedded software development environment,the selection and downloading of the Bootloader,which is used for loading the system,the transplant of the kernel of Linux operation system and the creation and downloading of root file system.Then based on the hardware and software conditions,and the in-depth understanding of ordering process,the application of ordering software on the system was developed using QT tools.In the end,the system of the ordering system was debugged and tested.The functional integrity and practicability of the embedded wireless ordering system were proved by testing.But The system still have many aspects worth studying and improving.During the whole development and design process,through continuous learning,I have learned enough from a smattering of the embedded system of old to the deeper understanding of the present.It is hoped that this design can provide reference for the digitization and information process of embedded wireless ordering industry.
