The distribution of Cross Connect Cabinet has some features in our country. Such as the range of this box is wide and distribution, it makes boxes management very difficulty. There are two problems in Cross Connect Cabinet because the telecommunications sector doesn't have effective measures to manage boxes for a long time.First, lots of boxes stay in the open air, be working under extreme conditions like weathering and nomanagement. So it can not keep the temperature within the normal range in the box, this shortens the service life of circuit and have impact on telecommunication systems. Second, the telecommunication sector failed to manage or protect the Cross Connect Cabinet in many places, so the box always had been destroyed and it makes some phenomenon always happen, such as free call on somebody else's expense through illegal means, connecting on telephone lines by private, arbitrary change connection and so on. All of these will make the line fault and lead to a deterioration in the quality of life for residents. So the management of boxes is one of problems to telecommunication manager.In order to solve these questions, the Detection System of Cross Connection Cabine is designed. This system is constructed which can detection boxes, including on-site supervision layer, communication management layer and centralized control with computer layer. On-site supervision layer is used to monitor humiture of the box and IC Card_id installed in the box; centralized control layer based on PC connects with On-site supervision layer through the communication management layer, may facilitate staffs check and manage box remain within doors. When PC centralized control layer directly communicates with a large number of on-site supervision layer, it will cause some problems such as data loss and multi-information competitive. To solve these problems communication management layer is designed. The whole system can monitor boxes and uploading datas to the wokers'computer, make the intelligent management of without a watcher come ture.Firstly, this paper analyses the situation of the detection system and semiconductor refrigeration at home and aboard. Secondly, it introduces the system's function and the hardware framework. Thirdly, this paper briefs three layers composition and specific implementation. It designed on-site supervision layer comprised of hardware door control system and temperature control system combined with sensor technology in ATmega128 development board platform, this layer solved the problems about illegal opening boxes and controlling temperature of boxes; it also realized the design of FIFO and RS485 communication with Verilog HDL in XC3S400 development board platform; at last designed centralized control layer with PC and VB, because of PC's good human-machine interface. It gives most hardware circuit and software of this system and explained the principle of system design in this paper. The structure of whole system complete and function achieves perfect.
