The Historical Review On The Responsibility And Status Of Chinese Archivists

In the process of development of human society, as the most original, effective, authoritative for social record, the archives bearing numerous historical memory, and the Archivists is the largest contributor to the community in the social memory task. Because of the work of archivists, the rich and splendid heritage of mankind only be maintained and spread, our common history memory was able to continue.Archivists' responsibility and the function are very important, but in our country, apart from the status of distinguished archivist early, the majority time they didn't have high social status. Nowadays, facing the development of information technology, the human resources development in the archive field encounters the new challenges, archivists entered so-called "the crevice time". The new social environment, lets archivists fell stressed out,whether in specialized knowledge or in the professional skills, how does archivists seize the opportunity to change the current embarrassing situation, to improve their social position is a very important question. Therefore, this paper takes the Chinese archivists as the main research object, analyzes the development process of Chinese archivists from the past to the present, carries on comparison and study from the aspects of longitudinal, to make a comprehensive analysis of factor which affects on the archivists status and archives of career development, to find some conclusion and suggestion to present's archivists which can make them revelation and clearly, in order to instruct the archivists how to face the pressure in the moment and how to deal with the new challenges better.This article uses the time as a main axle, carries on the elaboration and the summary along the time vein of the Chinese archivists'development, the main body of this article is divided into four parts. The first part is mainly elaborated the historical evolution of Chinese ancient archivists. In the first part, beginning with a detailed description of the government position,the responsibility, the function, the status and other aspects of archivists in the slave society and the feudal society, then makes the total summary to the evolution during the ancient times, and expositions of these political, ideological and other various reasons for these changes.In the second part, the article first elaborates the archivists'responsibility, and function under the control of the end of the Qing government agencies, the farmer organization as well as under the different nature of the Republican party's, then makes the total summary to the evolution during this times, and expositions various reasons for these changes, thus obtained the understanding and the enlightenment. The third part, the article bases on the new time archivists, in addition to study the archivists from the age of China Revolution to the period of Cultural Revolution, this part lays on the research of archivists in the information technology Age. Under the modern science technology's impact, the archivists will face what kind of challenges, and would take what kind of measure to promote their social position, is the elaboration key point of this part. The fourth part is the regular summary for preamble history inspection, mainly analyzes the factors which influence on the responsibility, the status of archivists. Including the social politics, economical, culture, the attitude of the leaders, archivists'quality and so on. Especially on elaboration politics, the attitude of the leaders, archivists'quality.Through the Chinese archivists' historical inspection, we can find easily that our country's archivists pass through the long years, is becoming a social worker who has more social influence gradually, but if we want to obtain populace's approval, and to have the very high social position truly are also need us to continue to do our best. Therefore, we must learn to hold the opportunity which the information age gives to us, transform the ideological concept, improve our quality, develop innovation, display the resource superiority, create the greatest benefits for the country and the society.
