With the rapid development of power electronics technology, power electronic equipments has been widely used in the filed of industry, agriculture production and people's daily life . However, harmonics and reactive power problems of power system are becoming more and more serious., which bring great threat to security, stability, and economic operation of power system. Thus, to deal with these problems all kinds of devices come to be designed.SAPF on DSP is designed by the combination of power electronics technology, computer control and power systems. The paper elaborates harmonic generation, harm and the necessity for governance on the basis of referring to a large number of Chinese and English information, describes development, classification and principle of APF, and explains the design method of APF main circuit as well as the selection of main components and the fixed parameter in detail. Afterward, it assumes overall responsibility of each harmonic current examination method, focus on analysising p ? q and i p ? iq harmonic current detection method based on instantaneous reactive power theory, and achieve the simulations using MATLAB. The Control strategy of APF is studied emphatically, including bucking current follow-up control and DC voltage control, finally choose the control of their own way.This paper put up the system design of APF according to the above task of analysis, research, simulation, and has carried on the hardware circuit designs, including APF system main control board, DSP and ARM smallest system board, sampling circuit board and so on, and designs the printed circuit boards. On software, it designs various subprogram flow charts of master and slave system. Meanwhile, the corresponding software programming and the prototype are made.The design of prototype has the following characteristics: utilize the more powerful computing power TMS320F2812, which has much better operating speed and precision, rather than TMS320LF2407A or ARM7; designs operation and control of separation by two-chip, and isolates the sampling channel of the two chip, which makes the system more stable and reliable. Giving up make use of easily to have the coupling disturbance of internal A/D module, it will increase the system accuracy effectively; Selecting the low frequency exterior crystal oscillator, it will reduce the electromagnetic interference availably, and the high system clock can be provided by the software programmable phase-locked loop for the system, thus enhance system's reliability.Finally, the prototype has been debugged which can demostrate the rationality of the system design, has pointed out some questions in the system research and development process, and have made prospects for the next research of APF.The subjects are from the Shut Active Power Filter project of Henan Senyuan Electric CO., LTD.
