In view of this situation, the paper described the low cost, low power pole angle monitor, the instrument can monitor the tower angle in real time, it provides strong and safety operation technical support to foresee and Deal with tower failure timely, to protect power grids and telecommunications networks Operating normally, but also can greatly reduce the intensity of Maintenance workers, to create a great social benefits.This article describes low cost, low power tower angle monitor is the integration of advanced electronic technology , sensor technology. By high-precision, low-power single-axis tilt sensor to take pole line and horizontal lines in both directions inclination data, using Philips LPC2132 controller to analyze and judge data, it sends the data to the monitoring center angle by GSM wireless module. It provides strong technical support for the timely processing tower and the safe power operation.Through a large number of domestic and foreign literatures, it introduces the current tower angle monitor the development and application, analyzes of the tower angle monitoring system and the principle. Meanwhile it uses the GSM communication technology into the device to make the angle monitoring system practical and convenient. This design mainly consists of two parts: first, angle monitoring system hardware design; second, software design. It is described by five parts. The first part introduced the research background and significance of the tower angle monitoring device; the second part introduced the overall design of the system, including hardware design and software design; the third section details the hardware and software part of the design concept and principle; the fourth part of the design demonstrated its rationality through trial. Finally, it makes a comprehensive summary of the system and points out the inadequacies of the system and where need to be further improved.This design is the project of Guangyuan Electric Co., Ltd. Datong R & D. The design principle has been adopted in the test, having the feasibility to develop.
