All Solid State YAG Laser Texturing Equipment For Surface Treatment Of Cold Roll

With the rapid development of automobile and household appliance industry, cold-rolled metal sheets will be in great demand, and the quality requirements by users will be increasingly high. In the cold rolling process, the cold roll will sustain a large rolling pressure, so that the surface morphology of the cold roll could be transferred to the cold-rolled metal sheets. So the surface morphology, hardness and abrasive of the cold roll play a decisive role on the quality of cold-rolled metal sheets.We develop an all-solid-state YAG laser texturing system used for surface treatment of cold roll. This thesis introduces the design and implementation of the texturing system in detail. The texturing system includes four parts:laser source, control system, texturing machine tool and coolant system. In order to improve the stability and efficiency of the texturing system, we choose a specially acousto-optic modulated all-solid-state YAG laser as the laser source. Considering the high real-time and reliability requirements of the controlling system, we choose the TMS320LF2407A DSP chip of Texas Instruments as the controller. Human computer interaction is realized through the touch screen, by which users can choose the texturing distribution type and set the texturing process parameters conveniently. The incremental optical encoder on the texturing machine tool is used to capture the rotation angle information of the roll. After completing data operation according to the texturing distribution algorithm the control system will control the acousto-optic Q switch driver and servo motors of mobile rack and spindle coordinately to achieve a specific roll surface distribution of morphology. Feedbacks from the customers indicate that the laser texturing system has high stability, low cost and perfect texturing effect.
