Due to the advantages of all-solid-state,small cubage,long longevity and high Pump effieiency,Q-switched diode-pumped solid-state lasers have been used widely in many fields such as laser telecommunication,remote sensing,military and medieal,and have been paid much attention to.In this paper,by using the fiber-coupled laser-diode as the pump source,Nd3+:YAG crystal as the gain medium,and using face pump,we have studied the performance of the output laser from theoretical and experimental aspects. The thesis will also make experimental studies on Acousto-optic adjustable Q,Cr4+:YAG passive adjustable Q and double adjustable Q laser.It put much emphasis on the effects that the factors,such as,the pump power,cavity length and transmittance of output mirror. We have achieved the aim of laser pulse with short duration,high efficiency,high peak power,high stability.Firstly,The development of diode pumped solid state Q-switched lasers are reviewed. The Q-switched technology is summarized from all round.The main continents of the dissertation are discribed briefly.Characteristic of Nd3+:YAG is researched.The thesis will also make a sudy to the fundamental principles of crystals when they are working continuously.Based on the study,experiment structure is established and the output property of continuous pumed lasers is studies.Secondly,The experiment is made about LD end-pumped AO Nd3+:YAG laser of1064nm. Some researches about single pulse energy,average output power,peak power are presented and some conclusions are received.Thirdly,The thesis also states the property of Cr4+:YAG and saturation propert. Based on the research,the paper will analyze and diseuss the Cr4+:YAG and passively Q-switched laser.Then the experimental framework of the passively Q-laser end pumping will be constructed.The thesis will also make an experimental study on Cr4+:YAG passively Q-switched Nd3+:YAG laser. It put much emphasis on the effects that the factors,such as,the pump power,cavity length and transmittance of output mirror,produce on the repetition rate of the laser’s single pulse energy,average output power and peak powerFinally,on the base of the theory of the double Q,Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber was inserted so that a doubly Q-switched laser is realized.The experiment indicates that more symmetric pulse,more narrow pulse and higher peak power can be obtained using the advantages of acousto-optic modulator and Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber simultaneously.
