Pure electric vehicles have low resources consumption and small environment pollution. The world has invested a lot in developing electric vehicle industry in succession. Advanced and reliable central control system and human-machine interface in EV are the basis of EV. It has great significance to research and solve this problem.According to the need of EV, this thesis does some research on the central control system in EV. Besides, it actually has designed the central control system, LCD system and the experimental platform which can be applied in pure electric vehicle to achieve the purpose of monitoring the operation condition and maintaining the security and stability in EV.Firstly, this thesis researches car bus technology and current situation of motormeter; it discusses CAN bus protocol and synchronization mechanism in detail and then computes parameters used in this project; this thesis also designs the central control system and makes the upper layer protocol suitable for the vehicle network of pure electric vehicles based on the application layer protocol of CANOpen. In the process of making the protocol, the thesis finishes the determination of communication content, allocation of identifiers, choice of message encoding, determination of message scheduling strategy and definition of data format.Secondly, this thesis also makes software and hardware design about the central control system in pure EV and human machine interface. The central controller DSP communicates information to motor drive system, battery management system and service system through CAN bus. Then it sends the processed information and display command to true color LCD through SCI communication display interface. Human machine interface adopts true color LCD and tourch interface is designed through the software. The software development environment is CCS 2.0.Finally, the communication display experiment is carried out. CAN communication and the real-time dynamic LCD display about each system in the pure EV are realized. The circuit of each part in the central control system operates stably. The design is reasonable and reaches the expected results.
