A Students Archives Management System Design And Implementation

With the development of the modern network technique, computerized management of students archives which is based on network technique becomes possible. The student archives management system is a new management model combining computer technology, multimedia technology and the network. The computerized management of students archives in colleges meets the need of the social development as the times progress. It explores the wealth of archives information, utilizes the archives information in an all-round way and makes the utilization change from a general form to a broad, systematic and multiform delivery system.The students archives management system design and implementation is carried out with the combination of the great amount of work of students archives management and the day-to-day management. The design is developed basing on Visual Basic 6.0 which has a high degree of visualization. The system is also well-designed with versatile functions and Chinese version, easy to operate and convenient to use.The design of the student archives management system is processed with the consideration of its practicability, usability, generality, universality, maintainability and economical efficiency.In the part of the students archives management, this paper elaborates the functions, the objective and the practicability of the system and analyzes the business process and data process. Only through this, can management be accurate, quick and of high-level.In the part of the student archives management design and implementation, this paper elaborates the design of the system objective. The computer is used to manage the student archives information basing on the need of the management. In order to help the users know the stratification, universality and flexibility of the system, the system creates database utilizing multi module program. The application of the system is programmed by Visual Basic 6.0. In the programming of the management system, database design is the basis. The foundation is built up through the analysis of input and output information and the establishment of database files.In the part of system application technology, this paper introduces the design environment and application environment. The design environment and application environment of this paper uses Microsoft Windows NT/95 Version or later, Microsoft Windows NT workstation 4.0 (recommended Service Pack 3) or later; 486 DX/66MHZ processor or later (recommended Pentium or later), or processor run by Microsoft Windows NT workstation or Alpha, 16 MB RAM for Windows 95, 32 MB of RAM for Windows NT Workstation.In the part of student archives management design and implementation, this paper introduces the users login. It also introduces the transcription of personal information, alternation of the information, modification of the information and searching of the information. Meanwhile, the functions can be performed and executed, such as searching, typing, changing password and creating a new user.At present, the student archives management system is established and it has been an important means of the students management in colleges. The system, built on Visual Basic 6.0 is a successful model of data storage and modern automation of students archives management development in colleges.
