Currently the Content Management, as one important application of the computer field is an efficiently method for the management of the data resources, and will become the core of the architecture of the MIS. So an integrated architecture of the MIS will include the content management module, besides the application management module and the business management module. To implement the requirement of the content management supported system architecture, this paper describes a content management supported system development framework, which uses the metadata to model the content and uses the soc idea to design the content publication engine.This paper describes the business process of the content management and divides the MIS into two subsystems, business subsystem and the content publication engine subsystem. The content collection process, the content store process and the data mining process are done by the business subsystem, while the content publication process is done by the content publicaton engine. This paper describes the business subsystem in the aspects of function architecture and hierarchical framework. The function architecture integrates some modules, the authority management module, workflow engine, rule engine, and UIMS module, which can efficiently support the development of the content collection, the content store and the data mining. The controller-layered encapsulation in the development framework separates the interface design from the business development phase, and reduces development difficulty of educational management information system.This paper describes several important international metadata specifications. Based on the DC metadata specificaiton, this paper designs two metadata model, the page metadata model and the media metadata model, then uses the metadata to describe and model the content data. This paper uses the XSLT as the modeling language of the view model to design the present templates for the metadata formatted content, and then uses the XSLT engine to generate the resulting format by binding the content models and view models dynamically. To make the development of the content publication process easier and make the business modules more reusable, this paper uses the soc idea to design the process of the content publication, and uses the pipeline to model the process of the content publication.Based on the system development framework described in this paper, the developers can develop the content management function and content publication function efficiently. The framework seperates the present templates management and the content management, which descreases the coupling coefficient of the system mangement, and makes the content publication process more efficiently.
