With the rapid development of computer and Internet technology, embedded system has been widely used in the field of industrial automation and control. To realize the traditional equipment' centralized monitoring and distal control, the most complete method is to redesign the control section of the microprocessor, using the embedded chip functions with the Ethernet network and joining the network layer protocols and applications in it. But for the old equipment, it is almost impossible for the time, technology and cost. So to realize the traditional equipment' centralized monitoring and distal control, The best way is to using the plugin embedded WEB SERVER, accessing the serial and analog switch to the WEB SERVER to complete the centralized monitoring and distal control of the system.Embedded chip with perfect network function is developing rapidly, it is widely used in the field of communications and the Internet. WEB SERVER technology is relatively mature, but it's application is relatively weak in the field of automation and control engineering. Embedded WEB SERVER technology and the SNMP bring standardized and high standard improvement for concentration of equipment maintenance and management, fault alarm and performance statistics, which is good for enterprises to have comprehensive information, to improve efficiency, and to create value.The embedded Web Server designed in this paper can realize the http functions. Users can browse and control the equipment or system through the general browser in the office, family and non-local journey where there has the INTERNET network. Besides using the http functions to realize the remote management, it can also realize fault alarm, system maintenance and performance statistics by using the SNMP.This paper firstly introduced the embedded WEB SERVER, the protocols and the realization method of the control network, then expounded the overall design scheme of the system. In this part, the main work is to expound the design process of the hardware and software, to complete the circuit principle diagram, to describe the characteristics, function and principle of the main components. Also, it proposes the hardware and software design ideas of using Ethernet ENC28J60 controller in embedded systems. According to the function module design, we wrote the program of each part, completed the debugging of the modules and system. It emphasizes on the realizing of the protocol stack and the Ethernet controller driver.Finally, the system was tested, the results show that the system can meet the requirements of the customers, and achieve the expected goal. And in the end of this paper,we made a summary and discussed the development direction of the follow-up work.The thesis's innovation is adopting the 32 bits embedded microprocessors, which is the latest, low price and high performance. There are lots of code to perfect the functions of system, optimize the CPU resources and establish efficient communication protocol. We have fully considered the structural, modular and maintainability. This platform d can be easily expanded and applied to the development of other equipment.
