In this paper,the automatic leveling control system for large-size mechanical platform is designed and developed.The aim is to develop a high-speed leveling system for vehicle,make the large antenna system(the radar whose diameter is 7.3 meter)mounted on the platform set up and dismantle quickly,and leveling when the radar works.Under the premise of keeping the performance of radar,the mobility of the vehicle mounted radar is improved as far as we can.In the following text,the flat trailer of vehicle is called platform for short.First,the paper analyzes the control requirements and major working methods of the automatic leveling control system of the platform.The scheme of the system is designed from the aspects of drive selection,main controller,the method of support and the method of leveling.The components of the system are introduced and the main elements are selected.This paper focuses on the leveling strategies of the leveling control system.First,the leveling methods are analyzed and the"cycle and repeat"in leveling strategy is put forward,which greatly simplifies the process of leveling and reduce the possibility of"virtual leg"in a certain extent.According to the foregoing leveling strategies,the whole flow and important sub-flows of the automatic leveling control system are designed.Finally,the software of the automatic leveling control system is developed.First the work principle and developing environment of software of the PLC is introduced.Next,the software of the system is designed,which consist of the module of initialize,module of control algorithm and module of communication.Finally,the automatic leveling control system is debugged.The result proves that the system comes to an expectant control requirements and runs well.
