With the increasing development of laser, the application of laser has penetrated into a variety of fields such as militia, science and technology, social development. How to accurately measure laser parameters is a priority issue in laser technology research. The divergence angle of laser beam is a very important parameter in laser-quality evaluation system. On the one hand, the divergence angle of laser beams can clear that the nature of beams in long-distance transmission of the laser beam, on the other hand, it is able to accurately assess the quality of the correlative laser apparatus. This paper developed a measuring system of laser beam divergence angle, the equipment may respond to 400~1700nm wide-spectrum high-energy pulsed laser beam divergence angle for precise measurements. After analyzing the output characteristics of laser beams and comparing with the traditional measurement method of divergence angle of laser beams, article Proposes the theory of measuring the divergence angle of laser beams by Photoelectric method, and on this basis, completed the selection and design of parts of measurement system and study of the overall development of the program. Pulsed laser focused by through the optical system, then the energy of pulsed laser is attenuated to the CCD linear response zone by attenuator, and formed facula at CCD. Using measuring software to analyse the facula and calculate radiuses of the facula, in order to calculate the divergence angle of High-energy pulsed laser beams. Experimental results show that the design of the laser beam divergence angle measurement system is able to more accurately measure a small point of divergence angle values of laser beams, which achieved the design objectives.
