Laser beam divergence angle and the far-field energy density distribution are the important parameters to evaluate the military laser beam. Laser beam divergence angle was reflected the long-distance transmission divergent characteristics, Which can be evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of laser devices accurately and objectively. The far-field energy density distribution was reflected laser energy and quality of the laser repression and against to weapon systems of emission of high power laser pulses to reach the goal of interference effective parts. Therefore, how to accurately measure the laser beam divergence angle and the far-field energy density of evaluation of laser weapons had important practical significance and role for evaluation of laser weapons. For testing the laser beam divergence angle, using indoor CCD imaging method to fusion the underexposed and over-exposure image spot, Expanding the CCD camera dynamic range, and was obtained the laser entirety distribution characteristics, and directly was measured the spot beam divergence angle of fused image, The test results was verified the accurate and scientific of the method. For testing the laser far-field energy density, to set up far-field laser spot energy distribution model by the mathematical modeling approach outside the field, to fusion the informations of the laser spot image gray value and the measured values of energy probe in the target plate, deduced the mapping relationships of gray value and energy density and calculated the far-field energy density distribution of laser. Finally, hrough experiments to verify the reliability and accuracy of the CCD imaging method to measure laser beam far-field energy distribution.
