Application And Research For Workflow Technology During The Process Of Document Flow

Document flow system was the core component of office automation, whose main function was to finish a series of management work with modern computer technology and network technology such as to create, to modify, to approve, and to publish document in governments or enterprises. The process of document dealing was in the form of flow, and the process was not constant because of the change of approval staff or dealing requirements. Traditional document flow system dealt with document by hard-coding, so it did not work well when the process changed.Based on a series of defined rules, workflow technology transferred the involved documents, information and tasks between the part and the whole participator. By the use of workflow technology, processes could be defined from out of the system, which has great freedom and flexibility.Firstly, this thesis introduced the basic theory, development and products of workflow technology, and then introduced the JBPM workflow engine technology. The thesis extended and improved the JBPM workflow engine technology in the view of practical use. To reduce the coupling process, and to facilitate future maintenance and upgrade, the thesis changed the original "JBPM-console" architecture into three-tier structure that was based on "Spring,Struts and Hibernate". Secondly, aiming at the fact that JBPM did provide complete process management function, this thesis gave the realization methods based on graphics monitoring process. Finally, this thesis achieves countersigned function with API that was provided by JBPM.This thesis discussed the process of JBPM used in workflow document flow system. The system completed dynamic process definition with the use of process definition tool and interfaces provided by JBPM. Then the system could also parsed process definition files and provided operating environment for the process, which could control the execution of process with the interfaces to flow scheduling. Test experiments showed that document flow system based on JBPM workflow technology, that the thesis researched and implemented, could achieve that we just changed process definition, not the source code, to adapt to everyday office needs, when business process changed. At the same time, we reduced the system development and maintenance costs.
