Work Flow Technology And Its Applications In The Document Management System

Workflow technology is a core technology to realize process modeling management. The system which is set up by workflow has good flexibility that means it can be adapted to the business process reengineering under varied of environments. Workflow, as a new computer technology, is recently becoming a hot spot. It is proved to have a wide application in enterprise and government informationization construction. Workflow Management System (WFMS) is a software system consists of definition, control and executive among which based on Process Modeling.In recent years, enterprises are under incessant changes, the existing application software is not suit for the organization combination, separation and business reorganization. Workflow Management System solves this problem to a large extent, In view of the popular problems of current workflow management system, this paper presents the design and Implementation of Workflow Plat (WFP). Also apply it to e-government document management system to achieve a good result.This paper introduces the workflow, Workflow Management System, the relevant norms of Workflow Management Coalition and problems exist in workflow management, which provides a theoretical foundation and practical significance of the Workflow Plat design. In the analysis and design of Workflow Plat, this paper analyzed the definition, workflow engine, business process engine, information line, monitoring and management tools and system interface, meanwhile, proposing solutions to key issues, such as design of system structure, power control system and troubleshooting system. Finally this Workflow Plat will be applied to the practice of document management system which is the core and infrastructure systems of e-government construction, also holds an important position in government information technology.Workflow Plat in this paper is constructed on J2EE architecture, using Java language, EJB, XML, JMS technology, following Workflow Management System reference model, which makes it possible to build on the Internet, in order to be highly portable, expandable and multiple. Meanwhile, it can help customers to build application system effectively, improve the importance of the software modules, reducing costs of system development and maintenance and other advantages.Finally, this paper summarizes the research work, and looks forward the future work.
