In this paper, we research detailly the network congestion control and delay analysis in media information transmission. With the development of network technology and the continuous improvement of link bandwidth, the load of audio, video information are increasing. To face the waves of information flow, how to solve the real-time streaming media in the network smoothly and error-free transmission is a promising research topic both in scientific research and in practical applications. For media information transmission in the network receive timely, accurate, smooth, fast, etc. to ensure high-quality transmission. In this paper, we analysis detailly the transport protocol for start, tracing the source to find out the latency problem, propose solutions to the problems.Firstly, we aim at TCP-based congestion control for the end to end lead to real-time streaming media transmission delays. Followed by a detailed analysis of the resulting delay caused by TCP protocol suite of reasons. Because of the sending-side caching for the delay, introduced a sender buffer adjustment of TCP congestion control algoritm. By adjusting the send-side caching, reducing the degree of network congestion and thus reduce the transmission of data packets delay.Secondly, we research deeply congestion and delays leaded by the streaming media transmission in the network. The impact of the major factors of real-time streaming media transmission was analyzed. The improvement of existing Padhye TCP throughput model based on the TFRC(TCP Friendly Rate Control)algorithm was compared and analyzed. Improve the TFRC protocol used in the Padhye equation. Through the introduction of parameter estimation and rate adjustments to make corresponding improvement, set the link congestion degree and priority in order to better adapt to unexpected traffic situations. To alleviate network congestion, reduced real-time streaming delay and jitter. Finally, in the NS2 simulation platform we simulate the improving TFRC congestion control algorithm based on TCP throughput model and the dynamic adjustment of TCP send buffer congestion control algorithms. And analysis of experimental to prove the validity of the algorithm under the given conditions.
