Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology has great potentials in wireless communication with its characteristics of high data rates, low power consumption and the strong multipath-resisted ability, etc. But its widespread application has been restricted including premature ultra-wideband RF circuit devices and other physical conditions. Therefore, it is of great significance for the UWB communication technology applications to study and improve the performance of UWB RF circuit.This thesis concentrates on studying the RF circuit of ultra-wideband receiver and makes research in the schematic and primary link parameters. Meanwhile, a good performance of the ultra-wideband low-noise amplifier is designed. The main contributions of the thesis are as follows:1. This thesis introduces the radio receiver structure and makes analysis of its strengths and weaknesses, and a UWB receiver block diagram is proposed.2. A kind of RF circuit schematic of UWB communication receiver is designed. Meanwhile, the distribution of the gain, the design of noise performance and device selection are completed based on the functional analysis of each module in the receiver circuitry.3. A kind of LNA covering the frequency ranging from 3.25GHz to 3.75GHz is designed. It is proved that the LNA with its characteristics of low NF, high Gain and simple configuration by the simulation and optimization with serenade.
