In this dissertation, one method which can control the solid-state laser crystal temperature effectively is discussed. And a new kind of cooling body called micro-channel heat sink is proposed theoretically at present time. The theory of micro-channel heat dissipation and thermal coupling theory are studied and applied into the laser crystal,In this dissertation. Considering to the heat dissipation of the diode pumped solid laser crystal, and its cylindrical shape, one micro-channel structure of the solid state laser cooler named combined fan-shaped jet micro-channels solid laser cooling structure is designed.The micro-channel is designed in these conditions, such as the crystals within the spatial distribution, the pump light in the pump source according to Gaussian distribution, pump power 10w, crystal with Nd:YAG, the outside of the crystal was connected with the micro-channel heat sink designed in this dissertation, all of the temperature of the contact points which are distributed on the outside of the crystal and the interior of the heat sink are equals, and the whole of the crystal surface is non-uniform, etc. For the end-pumped laser, useless heating is eliminated through the lateral plane of the crystal. In order to improve beam quality, relative smaller radius which would cause one problem that high heating consumption has to be eliminated within a small area is adopted. Thus research on density of high heat elimination should be paid more attention. In terms of this kind of structure, crystal superficial area is a little bit small, namely that micro-channel heat sink interaction area is likewise. It is quite difficult to accomplish micro-channel heat elimination in a small interaction area. In this dissertation, one appropriate structure which can solve the difficulty mentioned above named micro-channel structure is proposed.On basis of this kind of structure, there is no possibility of crack due to high temperature crystal after welding. Synchronously, most of the heat could be taken off by the micro-channel heat sink. Theoretical analysis has demonstrated the effectiveness of heat elimination, simplification of process and efficiency for controlling temperature of laser crystal.
