The paper introduces the vehicle electro-optics automatic sighting system integrating optics, electrics, mechanics, automatization, sensing and inspection, and communication. The paper refers to control objects of the vehicle electro-optics automatic sighting system and designs control software for the vehicle electro-optics sighting system on basis of VC++6.0 and Composer software. The control software is used to control the vehicle electro-optics automatic sighting system, realizing manual search, manual lock, and automatic tracking functions.The paper proposes a general plan for the vehicle electro-optics automatic sighting system based on CAN bus technology and describes the use of control chip with TI's new-type 16-bit fixed point DSP chip TMS320LF2407A as a core. It is to realize path planning of automatic car based on TI's CSS development environment, major tool of C Language, and CAN bus as a means of communication, design of automated car communications software.The realization of beeline track and circle track of automatic cars shows the feasibility of application of CAN bus technology in the vehicle electro-optics automatic sighting system.
