Invisible orthodontics technology emerges and grows quickly along with the rapid development of hardware technology, computer graphics and materiality. As this technology overcomes the limitations of the traditional orthodontic treatment, it has attracted widespread attention, and becomes a main research branch in orthodontics with high value in applications.By introducing digital geometry processing into invisible orthodontics, we design an editing system to construct highly accurate tooth models and gum models. In order to provide integrated data support for invisible orthodontics, the editing system provides mesh completion, mesh optimization, mesh deformation and mesh smoothing operations. The input digital dental models are already segmented after 3d reconstruction. Firstly, we apply the advancing front meshing algorithm to complete the topology of the missing surface, and then propose a shape controllable least square mesh algorithm to adjust the neighbor surface and avoid the collision detection computations for neighbor teeth. Secondly, we recover the shape of gum by applying Laplacian surface editing which is guided by a controllable curve. Furthermore, we analyze several classical mesh smoothing algorithms and implement a virtual smoothing ball as a convenient tool to provide strength controllable smoothing at local areas.
