Underground pipeline net is a very important component of urban infrastructure, which is generally considered as a city's "lifeline". To build a comprehensive and systematic underground pipe network in the city will provide a reliable information source for the reasonable usage of the urban underground space, such as the planning, design, building and operating management of the urban underground project. However, there is a lack of the scientific management of the underground pipe network in the city and a clear map of it, which often result in the damage of the underground pipe. In some case, it will even result in termination of the water supply, power electricity or communication or other disasters. Every damage will result in great loss. There are many reasons for this, but the basis reason is the lack of a scientific and exact urban underground pipe network information source and the bad management of this. Therefore, the means of three-dimensional model of urban underground pipeline net visualization and spatial analysis of the study is of great practical significance.This paper focuses on constructing and visualizing pipeline model and terrain model. Based on the previous works, a software package "the visualization and spatial analysis of 3d pipeline model" is made with VC++ language and OpenGL graphical library. And several tasks can be finished as followed.1,The establishment of the pipeline net down to every level pipe network model must pass a certain degree of spatial analysis to define a single pipe segment topological relations to determine the whole pipe network so that the associated query and analysis operations. At the same time, pipeline data types will be unified, and the data obtained from the exploration will be made in accordance with the data needed. Alos the standardized data reporting process will be conducted to develop a detailed entry form.2,Using OpenGL graphics library makes the development of three-dimensional graphics display of three-dimensional model and shade elimination very simple. It also improves the display speed of three-dimensional model. This system also provides the data type of AutoCAD - dxf as well as ARCGIS the shp file format interface so that the control can accept a variety of data sources.3,The preparation of man-machine interface makes the design work of the basic pipe network very easily. And as a result, it reduces the threshold of system operation through a simple operation.
