Visualization technology and 3d terrain has made great progress in the whole world, which is based on the rapid development of computer graphics technology on the basis of the implementation. It was also computer related hardware and related technology that has developed rapidly, which makes 3d terrain modeling and visualization technology research more and more widely and large. Now more and more enterprises, institutions of higher are learning to join its ranks, and the results are rich.According to the 3d visualization technology about road information research at home and abroad on the basis of the status quo, as well as the 3d visualization of the research background and significance of the 3 d visualization analysis, this paper puts forward the main focus and the main innovation points in this paper. In the process of 3d visualization system whose implementation is based on OpenGL path, the large-scale terrain and you block algorithm of image texture are studied. In order to get a clear view of 3 d image to make users have a better experience of 3d scene roaming, the paper also studies the node system optimization algorithm and the evaluation system to eliminate "hole" in the process of texture mapping. Also in order to have a higher resolution and meet user requirements, the system optimization algorithm is used with the layered implementation.Based on the existing three-dimensional data model analysis, designed for use in road design application visualization road models to meet the road design visualization outcomes, needs analysis and thematic information management. The comprehensive application of computer graphics, computational geometry and geometric modeling, scientific computing visualization, virtual reality theory and technology, etc. We study the three-dimensional model based on the specific implementation of OpenGL calls and three-dimensional visualization, to design specific features of the software, including the coordinates of the display, roaming and three-dimensional route design.
