With the continuous development of satellite communications and terrestrial communications, more and more communication equipments have been built up and more interference problems should be considered.Earth stations should avoid the interferences from other communication devices. The visualization of the Earth station coordination area can provide a reference for interference control. The effect of meteorological environment in space on high frequency electromagnetic waves can't be neglected. Application of atmospheric attenuation model for electromagnetic energy visualization is very important to satellite communications.Aiming at visualization of the coordination zone of the earth station,the international standard ITU-R P.620-6 is used as the theoretical base of earth station electromagnetic transmission model. Based on OpenGL and MFC framework, the key function modules such as terrain introduction module, coordination zone determination module, radio wave propagation module, electromagnetic shielding calculation module caused by site shielding, and electromagnetic energy rendering module are realized. This model can support electromagnetic propagation and attenuation calculations of different frequency bands and different terrain conditions. The visualization of electromagnetic energy distribution and the earth station coordination area are realized.According to the influence of atmospheric environment on the propagation of electromagnetic waves, the atmospheric attenuation model is analyzed emphatically. The international standard ITU-R P.676-7 is used as the theoretical base of electromagnetic energy distribution in the atmosphere. Based on OpenGL and MFC framework, the calculation of free space loss, path attenuation and characteristic attenuation of electromagnetic wave in atmospheric propagation is realized. According to the inhomogeneous nature of the atmosphere, the calculation of the attenuation of the whole atmospheric wave propagation attenuation is realized by stratifying the atmosphere. At the same time, in terms of the rendering of the electromagnetic energy distribution in the atmospheric space, it is designed to map the electromagnetic energy data to the HSL color space and then to the RGB space, which is more realistic than the rendering effect from the data to the RGB mapping.The electromagnetic visualization platform designed in this thesis can be used as an estimate platform for calculatirng the coordination distance of the earth station and atmospheric attenuation. For the electromagnetic spectrum management and wireless network planning,some support is provided by this platform.
