Manuell Castells is a famous contemporary sociologist in American, His theory of network society has produced extensive and profound influence ever since it was founded. He has so far published more than twenty books, and co-published 21 books with others. He has also published more than 100 scholarly articles. His works on theory of network society---"Trilogy on the Information Age:Volumeâ… :The Rise of the Network Society; Volumeâ…¡:The Power of Identity; Volumeâ…¢:End of Millennium" to a unique research perspective, a broad interdisciplinary background, as well as rigorous research methods carried out many profound considerations on the network society. By the advent of the theory of network society, there has an extensive and profound impact in the world The paper try to study Castells'theory perspective and his characteristics of research method and so on through the introduction of Castells'life experience and his academic career, in particular through his study on network society. The author hope this restricted view on Castells'idea about communication could bring some working enlightenment to our study on communication from the double aspects of theory and also research methodologies.
