Along with the development of wireless sensor network, Zigbee has aroused widespread concern in the field of industrial control. Zigbee, as a new 2.4G wireless LAN communication technology, has advantages of low complexity, low power and low speed. In this thesis, a mechanical vibration signal monitoring and wireless data transmission system based on MEMS and Zigbee technology is introduced.First, this thesis briefly introduces the feature of MEMS and Zigbee technology .And then software and hardware design of the system is given in detail.The system is consisted of data acquisition module, Zigbee end mote, Zigbee relay mote and the embedded gateway. At the base of the hardware, Nesc language based on TinyOS operation system is used to program the motes. With the use of communication primitives, this thesis analyzes the existing Zigbee communication protocol, and transplants some functions of network layer protocol stack to build a multi-hop wireless sensor network,which can reliably converge vibration signal from MEMS accelerometer to the gateway for data processing and analysis.What's more.To further reduce the overall power consumption of the network, self-adaptive weighted integration algorithm is used in relay motes to integrate and reduce the amount of data communication in the wireless network.To maintain low-power characteristic of Zigbee network, we should ensure the time synchronization between the motes and the gateway.To achieve this purpose, an improved time synchronization algorithm FTSP (Flooding Time Synchronization Protocol) is implemented. Because the error of time synchronization caused by clock drift of their crystal oscillators is compensated, the motes achieve precise time synchronization.Finally, at the base of above design the performance of the system is tested, which proves that the system achieves the basic requirement of the design and lays a good foundation for further applications of Zigbee technology in the industrial field.
