| With the rapid development of information technology, multimedia and Internet technology, video surveillance system is evolving towards the embedded, digital, networked direction. The development of the system involves various techniques, including the software and hardware of embedded system such as video coding, network transmission, wireless transmission, operating system and so on. It has the advantages of wide monitoring range, steady and reliable performance, unmaned management and easy net-buildup.A kind of embedded video surveillance device based on Windows CE operating system was designed. Its major advantage is that the user can view the monitered place from everywhere through the network, alleviated from the distance restriction. Repeated wiring is also unnecessary, and it is not to be easily interfered by other parts of the computer system. The project is to build a Windows CE system suitable for the development platform based on the ARM microprocessor. After analyzing the architecture of the Windows CE driver and the flow-driven development process, develop a USB camera-driver, then complete the real-time video data collection. Then compress the video data into MPEG-4 format in order to facilitate the transmission process. The transmission is made between the embedded system and the PC using the SOCKET API. When the surveillance system is unattended, the collected video image is recognized by applying the difference image method. When someone or something enter into the monitored region, the system capture the picture and save it immediately, then compress it into JPEG format, and send the picture to the mobile of the user through GPRS module to realize the function of automatic alarming. |
