The Research & Realization On DSS For College Computer Fundamental Course's Teaching Reform

Computer Fundamental series courses occupy a very important position in the public courses' teaching of colleges and universities so that setting up the series of courses is an important approach to improve undergraduates' information literacy and computer skills' level. Conducting a comprehensive and scientific evaluation of the series of courses will help to guide teaching and improve teaching effectiveness.The study builds a computer basic series courses' two level evaluation index system and weights from four aspects which are the hardware resources, teachers, teaching assessment methods and student's levels using of AHP. And then on the basis of the teaching status quo in colleges and universities of Hunan Province, the study proposes the evaluation criteria and methods of the relevant indexes. At last, the study develops a teaching decision support system gearing to curriculum using of the Visual Studio development tools.Firstly, the paper elaborates some theories such as the education decision support system, teaching evaluation, education statistics etc, and introduces the data mining. And then the paper proposes the overall design and four sub-module design of the computer basic series courses' teaching reform decision support system. Sequentially, the paper discusses the building of the evaluation index system and the application operation mode, then studies and calculates the index weight. On the basis of above studies, the paper designs the database and realizes the scores analysis module which carry out statistics and mining to scores from three angles that are disciplines, students' level and questions' types. The system has some characteristics such as strong professional, easy to use and so on. Finally, the paper's prospects the future work.
