Over the last two decades, technology innovation has brought the world closer together and has given people more ways to communicate with each other. While these changes have brought new heights in productivity and created a more mobile, global, and "always-on, always-connected" world of work, this rapid transformation also created new challenges in today's business environment Enterprises are required to help Information Workers and IT professionals reduce the complexity of using and managing multiple systems for communications, remove the communications overload issue. Information Workers want a simplified platform to streamline both one-to-one and one-to-many communications, giving them access to the information they need, when they need it. Enterprises need provide flexible communications tools for their business units, customers and partners around the world so that they could achieve efficient communications. Companies face high costs when using traditional communication methods, so they become more frequently to look for more cost-effective means of communications across all boundaries by leveraging the new technologies. Companies have the pressure to simplify the maintenance and management of existing communications tools, to reduce the complexity of the management of the platform and build a platform with openness.Based on the specific requirements of Contoso and a thorough research on existing Unified Communications solutions available, the article gives Contoso a communications platform for all the staff around the world. The following main points and workloads are covered in the paper1. Conduct research on Contoso's specific business requirements and scanarios, design the system based on its existing infrastructure.2. Finish the architecture design based on Microsoft's Unified Communications platform based on platform appraisal.3. Conduct Proof of Concept to integrate legacy PBX with Unified Messaging and VoIP functionalities provided by Unified Communications platform.4. Finish the final design and hardware configuration of the the proposal and help Contoso FT Department prepare the deployment proposal.
