It is urgent expected that new deep drilling rig with advanced performance and high automation, with the exploitation of complex oil and gas wells, super-deep oil and gas fields in ashore and offshore, as well as the development of the exploration and drilling technology. Therefore, it is significant to improve the automation level of our country rig, with in-depth research on driller control system.In this paper, firstly, it is analyzed that the advanced control technology and successful usage of domestic and abroad oil rig. On this basis, with the application of circuit redundancy technology, it is designed that network of the driller control system, based on PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus. S7-300 PLC is master station of driller control system, and communicates with host computer, human machine interface and DP slaves through the fieldbus. Secondly, the control system network is configured in programming software STEP 7, and the program is compiled. Because of time-delay, time-varying, nonlinear of the constant bit pressure automatic feed drilling control system, it is designed that WOB optimal control system, based on BP artificial neural network,and realized the intelligent control of automatic feed drilling system. The BP network, which is designed, is simulated with Matlab, and the result showed that the BP network is effective convergence, and the control accuracy of the rotary speed of drawworks is improved, and the request of automatic feed drilling control system is satisfied. And then, according as driller's operation sheet and monitoring objects, human machine interface is designed, including Touch Panel operating system and monitoring system of drilling rig working parameters. It is a best way of human machine interface and friendly menu mode. It is convenient for driller to real-timely operate and monitor through drilling process, and the drilling process data can be printed. Finally, the reliability of driller control system is briefly discussed. Advanced vector control technology is adopted during driller control system, and the motor can be controlled by stepless speed regulation. Circuit redundancy technology is applied, and the reliability of the system is improved, opposed to hot backup redundant system, the cost of control system can be saved. Fieldbus control technology is applied, and the remote operation and monitoring of equipment can be realized. A platform for achieving digital and intelligent drilling is created.
