The paper industry is closely linked with national economic development andsocial civilization.The paper and paperboard consumption level is ameasurement of one of the important symbol of the degree of modernization andcivilization of a country. With the development of national economy and theimprove of people’s living standards, people’s consumption demand for varioustypes of paper is increasing, thus the machine automation control requirementshave become more sophisticated.Accordingly, this paper combined the papermachine production process and its working process, analyzed designrequirements of the machine to its electric transmission control system, and inaccordance with the requirements of the control system, analysis and study of thevarious segments of the control principle to draw the corresponding controlprogram.Firatly the thesis introduced and analyzed the application of Fieldbustechnology and its work process, according to the characteristics of the fieldbusand the master/slave of Profibus-DP has the function of complex control systemcommunication,used SFC14"DRD_DAT" and SFC15"DPWR_DAT" to accessthe input/output data in the corresponding control module,achieved thehigh-speed data transmission of machine electric drive, improved the datatransfer rate of the entire control network and reliability and robustness of thewhole control system.Secondly the thesis carried out on the selection of the configuration anddesign for PLC and encoder and other related hardware. the thesis in order tomeet the machine with the requirements of a wide speed range and a higherfrequency resolution, according to the hardware features of the desiredconfiguration to select the ACS800inverter, it adapted to different varieties anddifferent quantitative need of the paper machine production.Then the whole software system program used the idea of the modular structure to design the various functional modules and subroutine structure,through the connection of the PLC with OP27operator panel to display themachine running parameters, So that the machine fault diagnosis and linkagesignal could communication display in real time, it easy to operate forworker,and ensured the stability of the control system further, improvedanti-jamming capability.The control structure of load distribution and speedchain is designed on the basis of the binary tree data structure algorithms, thethesis solved the machine to accelerate,slow down,crawling,running, uniformload distribution and other issues, meet the needs of normal paper machineproduction and maintenance.Finally this paper used more mature overall design structureat home andabroad that is the three level control network, inverter and motor and relatedcontrol devices constitute the first control level,data communication viaProfibus-DP with the core unit of entire control system that is the second controllevel PLC,PLC not only via Profibus-DP and the scene of the operation panel fordata communication in order to achieve real-time control,but also by high-speedindustrial Ethernet connect to the third control level that is the host computermanagement operations control room.Finally, the paper designed the electricdrive control system of paper machine based on Fieldbus.The designed of thecontrol system to solve the problem of the overall complex control system of themachine being is difficult to control.The designed system has been put into the actual production running, papermachine speed has been further improved,meet the requirements of machinecontrol systems and has high stability and reliability, improved the productionefficiency and effectiveness of enterprise,promoted the level of development ofpaper industry automation technology,so the design and the results of researchfor this system have the value to promote in industrial applications.
