The harmonic in power systems has become an important reason of effecting electric power quality. The research of active power filter (APF) is a hot spot of administering harmonic in current study. Most existing APF control systems include harmonic current detection and tracking control, which yields high complexity and bad real-time. Applying the one-cycle control technique to active power filter does not need to detect and calculate load harmonic and reactive current, which is a new orientation for APF research.This paper first introduces active power filter and one-cycle control theroy. Then on this foundation the paper deduces one-cycle control equation of single-phase and three-phase APF, and designs the control circuit. At last, single-phase APF and three-phase APF simulation models are built by use of MATLAB, simulation results show that for both the single-phase and three-phase APF, one-cycle control APF can well compensate harmonic and reactive current.In addition, based on the research of one-cycle control model of APF, this paper explains the rationality of introducing the important signal V m in the perspective of power balance, analyzes the steady-state process of the single-phase one-cycle control APF, and introduces some select principles of important parameters in one-cycle control APF. At the same time, for three-phase three-wire APF, the paper carries on the comparison to one-cycle control and the voltage space vector control (SVPWM) method, and analyzes their equivalence and differences.At last, a TMS320LF2407A DSP-based three-phase three-wire APF is developed, the hardware circuit of the APF system and its functions are elaborated in detail. A digital implement method is proposed based on DSP and the control system software is programmed. The experimental results verify that the designed APF system has a good compensation effect to harmonic, and the system current after compensated near sinusoid.
