Research And Implementation Of Equipment Management Information System Based On Web GIS

Equipment management is an important task in the management of grass-roots troops. Equipment Management Information System collects, transfers and processes information related to equipments. It plays an important role in the efficient utilization of equipment resources. Web Geographic Information System (Web GIS) is a network application system based on digital map. It can be used widely and maintenanced easily. Its interface is intuitive and data is published quickly. The using of Web GIS in Equipment Management Information System can greatly increase the effectiveness of command. So it is an inevitable requirement for Information Warfare.This paper firstly analyzes the working principle and the developing technology of Web GIS. In conjunction with the construction status and practical requirements of the Equipment Management Information System in troops, we discuss the application of Web GIS in equipment information management. Then, we establish a kind of equipment information management architecture based on Web Services, allow the system to integrate multiple different sources of Web Service to work together, so that the system can provide services of equipment management based on geographic information. So as to we not only build a resolve of cross-platform interoperability issues, but also improve the simplicity of the operation and the high efficiency of the implementation. Using SuperMap SDX+5 we manage the geographic data and equipment data together and achieve an integrated storage of the spatial data and attribute data, we can improve the ability of query, analysis and process about massive data. We analyze the Equipment Management Information System and establish the configuration and function module. Then we complete the design of system database, purview and optimization. Finally, Using SuperMap IS.NET develop components in Visual Studio 2005 environment, a prototype of Equipment Information Management Systems founded on Web GIS is achieved, which allows users to manage the equipment information visibly in network. It can provide technical support for the troops to develop equipment information management.
