A quality remote monitoring system of the civil engineering was designed with the purpose of improving the quality of the civil engineering , guaranteeing the safety of the measuring technical staff, making the engineer cost lower and making the synchronal measure realizable.The system was composed of the front-end subsystem of data acquisition and the back-end subsystem of data process. The message platform of the GSM mobile communication system was used to fulfill the communication between the front-end and the back-end. The deconcentrator made up of the code translator and the relay at the front-end could measure 1-64 sensors in turn; on the platform of the keil-C51, it realized the data acquisition of the sensor linked by deconcentrator and data transmission of the PC at the bank-end with the P89C51RD2 microprocessor chip as its main controlling module. Both real-time and timing data acquisitions could be implemented. It could also control as much as 8 measuring points (each point includes 64 sensors at most) synchronously and identify the users' status. The VC++6.0 was used at the back-end with the ACCESS as its database and the ADO as its method for database access. The system could save,process and print the data conveniently, and control the front-end completely at the same time.The system had good real-time performance, and the function of the data management was available .It could control and monitor the point firmly with the PC running at the back-end, which was characterized by intelligence and automation also performed well in a state of motion with portable sets (such as notebook PC, mobile phone, PDA and so on ).After the actual tests, the results demonstrate that the system operates smoothly, each detecting part works well, the data is accurate and reliable and it has higher use value in reality.
