The shrinking petroleum resource and increasing environment contamination have been the two most serious worldwide problems. Along with the increasing number, the petroleum consumption and exhaust gases of automobile vehicles have been a serious impact on the petroleum resource and environment. As a result, developing and researching on alternate fuel for internal combustion engine has been more and more important. Resources, environmental, economic, practical, convenient to consider, methanol fuel is very good choice. Methanol resource is abundant, reducing vehicle operating costs, savings in oil resources. It is necessary that research and development a use of methanol as an alternative fuel auto ignition pulse-width control of the embedded system has practical significance. As a result of the future, for methanol gasline fuel will be widely used,the corresponding special equipment ignition pulse-width embedded control system will have a large potential market.The design process of the embedded control system for igniton pulse width to the engine was stated in detail in aspect of the hardware and software. The design project of the components selected and related circuit of the hardware was presented. The hardware part included the design of the system power supply module ,the design of the drive circuit module, the design of the pulse shaping circuit module and the design of the communication module. The software part include the design of ARM module and the design of CPLD module and so on.The function and design processes of each module were introduced in particularly, procedure flow chart and the design of the programming. Finally,It made a whole test of hardware and software of the system ,made actual measure , and the measured results were analyzed.The experimental results show that the embedded control system for igniton pulse-width to the engine for the effective control of fuel injection, thereby unchanging the automobile engine and fuel tank under the premise of methanol gasoline for vehicles to achieve a specific proportion of added use. After repeated tests, the system of embedded research impulse control system is correct and feasible, with a theoretical value and practical significance.
